Benromach Contrasts: Peat Smoke Sherry Cask 2012 / Bot.2021 Speyside Whisky

70cl / 46% / Distillery Bottling – A smoky 2012 Benromach single malt from its Contrast range, matured in first-fill sherry hogsheads and bottled in 2021. Aromas of cinnamon, ginger, dark chocolate, orange and sweet, heathery smoke fill the nose, complemented by notes of cocoa powder, honeycomb, stewed raspberries, vanilla, black pepper and toasted almonds on the palate, with hints of peat smoke and Morello cherry lingering in the finish.
