Glenrothes 2006 / 16 Year Old / Old Malt Cask Speyside Whisky

70cl / 50% / Hunter Laing – A 2006 Glenrothes single malt from independent bottler Hunter Laing that was matured in a refill sherry butt for 16 years, before being bottled in 2022 as part of its Old Malt Cask series. Aromas of brioche, dates and caramelised mango fill the nose, complemented by notes of candied ginger, walnut and peppery oak throughout the palate.
