75cl / 56.52% – Since it came online in 2013, Wilderness Trail has enjoyed the distinction of being the oldest legal distillery in Danville, Kentucky. Even as a relative newcomer, it distinguished itself with a commitment to transparency and a series of well-received releases. This high-rye single barrel bourbon has been aged for four years in heavily-charred American oak barrels. The higher bottling proof brings a robust spiciness that is tempered by notes of vanilla, toffee and demerara sugar.
